WBUP: Peters co-sponsors Senate human trafficking bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Human trafficking is emerging as a human rights problem in Michigan, and Senator Gary Peters has signed on as a co–sponsor of a new Senate bill to address the issue.
It’s a bipartisan bill to create a program through the Department of Health and Human Services to give grants to accredited medical schools with experience studying and treating human trafficking victims.
