WLUC: Peters introduces bill to expand telehealth services

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Receiving virtual care from the comfort of your home could soon be a reality.

Senator Gary Peters introduced legislation to expand telehealth services in rural areas, all covered under Medicare. Senator Peters introduced the Telehealth Innovation and Improvement Act which would create a five-year pilot program.

The program would require Medicare to work with local providers to expand their telehealth services.
