“Today’s announcement by General Motors is a promising step to ensure that we are developing, designing and manufacturing the vehicles of the future right here in Michigan. This important investment will help bring 2,600 new middle class jobs to southeast Michigan and support development and growth at the Warren Technical Campus.

“I thank General Motors for making this commitment to Michigan, and for investing in their partnership with the United Auto Workers and Michigan’s workforce, who make the world-class automobiles and trucks that allow General Motors to be globally competitive.
