Project Purpose: The funding would support the installation of solar panels on a 190-acre closed superfund site that includes a protective cap – the Butterworth Landfill.

Michigan Combined Sewer Outflows, Detroit, MI

Recipient Name: Army Corps of Engineers
Project Purpose: The funding would be used to replace lead service lines throughout the city of Detroit.
Project Location: Detroit, Michigan

Menominee River Deepening, Michigan and Wisconsin:

Recipient Name: Army Corps of Engineers
Project Purpose: The funding would be used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to complete a feasibility study, or general investigation, into potential harbor infrastructure improvements in the Menominee-Marinette Harbor waterway.
Project Location: Menominee, Michigan
Requested Amount: $700,000

Project CleanMI:

Recipient Name: Western Michigan University
Project Purpose: The funding would be used to develop materials and modules for an efficient direct air capture of carbon dioxide.
Project Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan

Southeast Michigan Flood Risk Mitigation Study:

Recipient Name: Army Corps of Engineers
Project Purpose: The funding would be used to support a feasibility study for methods to prevent flooding in Southeast Michigan.
